From swinging standards to latin jazz, beautiful ballads and jump swing to be-bop and beyond. This band is led by Laksar Reese on saxophones and flute, and features Matt Lewis on vocals and trumpet. Performing hits from Duke Ellington to Miles Davis, Charlie Parker to Frank Sinatra, Pancho Sanchez to Tito Puente.
This ensemble consists of four to seven pieces. One of Chicago's finest female vocalists, Robin Watson joins the group when a female vocalist is desired. She sings everthing from jazz to swing to the contemporary pop hits of today. With a choice selection of jazz standards and infectious latin rhythms, this group makes any engagement a classy event. Performing concerts, club dates and private engagements. Smaller ensembles are also available on request.
